Swedish VS Deep Tissue       Pressure is NOT the difference...

Swedish Massage is performed with the client, undressed to his or her comfort, draped, on the table. Applying oil, with gliding strokes, medium to deep pressure. Swedish massage is designed to relax the body and mind. This is done in 45, 60, 90 minute sessions. As well as a 2hr massage session.

Prenatal- is Swedish massage performed on pregnant women. They undress to their comfort and lay on their side for the session. This is done in 60 & 90 minute sessions.

Medical Massage- treating a specific condition/ injury (not currently processing insurance)

Conditions/Injuries I am seen for: Low back pain, sciatica, carpal tunnel syndrome, pre and post surgery. 

Clinical (results without a prescription)/ Orthopedic massage is done with minimal undressing, applying little to no oil, with pressure that is effective but within the clients comfort. It focuses on rehabilitation of injured/ or tight/short soft tissues of the body and pain management. This is done in 60 or 90 minute & 2 hr sessions. 

Deep Tissue- Combination of pinpoint and broad strokes and other techniques to release tension and adhesions in the deep muscle layers. Designed to relieve musculoskeletal pain. Pressure can vary from light to deep. May be uncomfortable at times, but not painful. 

Manual Lymphatic Drainage - This massage is a very gentle massage that encourages the drainage of the lymph nodes and the movement of lymph fluids around the body. This massage technique is very beneficial for clients who are dealing with lymphedema and post op surgery such as mastectomy as well as Lyme disease.
